Four Ways To Use The Apollo at AIA Central
In December 2021, we opened our final Centre of the year in Hong Kong – AIA Central . The opening of this centre has been especially impactful as it uplifted spirits across the network in a time that has been predominated by the ongoing pandemic and restrictions in recent times.
As an expansion, AIA Central further cemented our position as Hong Kong's leading premium flexible workspace provider with 11+ centres now operating in Grade A buildings across the central business districts of Hong Kong, Central, Admiralty and Island East. In fact, with the addition of AIA Central, you can now walk from Hong Kong to Admiralty and find an Executive Centre to touchdown in every 5 minutes' walk.
In terms of innovation, AIA Central has once again put us on the figurative global map of art and workspace design as we brought in the impressive avant-garde attraction and centrepiece – Timothy Oulton's Apollo Capsule, of which there are only 22 that exist in the world. Each luxury lounge is customised but, on the whole, consists of polished stainless-steel, camel leather, alabaster and a customised Odeon pendant, all built to the same scale as NASA' iconic and history-defining spacecraft, the Apollo 11. Our Apollo 20 has been slightly modified to allow more airflow through the roof, and the iconic table and chandelier have been adjusted to be more spacious.
Meticulously assembled by hand, piece by piece, the Apollo Capsule consisted of 8 panels that were built bottom-up over 9 hours. A space within a space, the Apollo 20 at AIA Central grants its hosts a one-of-a-kind unforgettable experience alongside unparalleled comfort and privacy.
“TEC has always been the leader in commercial office design across APAC, and we pride ourselves on constantly revamping the office space to provide the absolute best experience for our Members. We are honoured and delighted to include the Apollo capsule in our AIA Central Centre. A beautifully designed and meticulously crafted artwork in itself, but also an inspiration for visitors to our Centre who would be reminded of the iconic moment it represents - when man achieved the impossible," said Paul Salnikow, our Founder and CEO.
Here are our top recommendations for utilising the Apollo Capsule at AIA Central:
1. Use it for creative brainstorming sessions with your marketing team or with clients
What better way to plan a revolutionary campaign than within a construct that turned the impossible into a reality.
2. Hire the whole lounge and Event Space for an after-hours social mixer with exclusive VIP's
Ensure your event is remembered indefinitely. Harness the power of social media and let the Apollo 20 speak for itself as it extends the reach and social across the virtual network.
3. Use it for a photo shoot or film shoot
Chic and avant-garde craftsmanship are virtues associated with the arts, and the Apollo 20 is an iconic backdrop or centrepiece to make a statement. Allow your work to be further exemplified alongside gleaming steel and leather.
4. Use it as a refuge and a space to recollect yourself
While the Apollo 20 is not designed to be soundproofed, it does an outstanding job of blocking out the sounds of the outside world and creating its own ambient soundscape thanks to its unique leathering and funnel shape.
Whether it's heads-down work you need to do, a comprehensive business plan to pitch, or a confidential call you need to take – The Apollo 20 offers a space for creativity, collaboration, focus and respite. Very much like its intended design, the sky really is the limit when it comes to our Members and our Apollo Capsule.
Situated within a stone's throw away from our engagement team, no request is too big or small when it comes to our Members' needs. However, to ensure the longevity, allure, and quality of the Apollo for years to come, we have kindly asked attendees to limit their time inside the capsule to a maximum of 1 hour and prohibited the consumption of beverages excluding water within the space.
