Our Gender Equality Statement
These are our women.
A founding value of TEC has been to provide equal opportunities and a workplace that is representative of the wider communities in which we operate. Our goal is to make sure we continue to empower the careers, aspirations and ambitions of our people. This International Women’s Day, we wanted to hear from the women who make up 61% of our company. So, we asked them a question… To the women of TEC, what are your goals?
On International Women’s Day and throughout the month of March, women are celebrated around the world for their achievements and contributions to society. Since 1994 we have been committed to achieving gender balance through female empowerment.
Creating a fair and productive working environment for talent across its 135+ Centres in 32 cities and 14 countries, our global workforce is made up of more than 600 women (61% of total employees); and a near gender parity (47% female staff) across our head office.
In the words of our CEO and Founder, Paul Salnikow;
“Since we founded our business in 1994, we have been committed to treating all people equally and nurturing great talent, regardless of gender. This culture is something that we are incredibly proud of, and we believe that it is this supportive environment that has helped us to recruit and retain our exceptional team. However, it is important to remember that our work doesn’t stop here, particularly when we look within our regional markets.”
“Gender balance is integral to the future of work. While TEC’s regional gender ratios reflect the cultural norms across our markets, we remain committed to work towards equal opportunities for all genders and promote diversity within our business, our markets and beyond.”
